William Jordan Obituary

William Curtis Jordan, age 39, of Greensboro, GA, died Friday, March 12, 2004 at his home with family and friends surrounding him. A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born October 21, 1964 to Doffice Jordan and Gladys Beal Jordan of Greensboro, GA. In 1983 he graduated from Greene County High School and later became the owner and operator of Jordan''s Docks and Sea Wall Company. He was of the Baptist faith and loved riding motor cycles and playing golf in his spare time. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sheila Rigby Jordan of Greensboro, GA; his grandmothers, Dollie Beal of Greensboro, GA and Sarah Watkins of Greensboro, GA; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Newsome. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Dennis Garner officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Faron Beal, Mike Moody, Robert Moon, Al Kelver, Joe Foster, Hank Ferguson, Dale Brown, Dennis Stephens and David Stephens. Honorary pallbearers will be Turtle''s Motor Cycle Group; Dale Brown, Tarah Brown, Cale Yearwood, Nathan McElhannon, Chris McElhannon, Dean Bentley, Jimmy Wray, Barbara Wray, Chuck Mann, Scott Burgess, Cathy Rakestraw, Chuck Rakestraw, Scott Davis, Cpt. Dave Albo, George Cannon and Troy Waldroup. The family requests that any memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1684 Barnett Shoals Road, Athens, GA 30605.
