Wendell Lewis Webb, of Union Point, GA, died on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at the age of 63. A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born on March 3, 1954, and was the son of the late Archie Delano Webb and Marie Canup Webb Lankford.  He graduated from Greensboro High School. Wendell was a barber and later owned and operated W W Construction.  In his past time he enjoyed tinkering with cars.

Wendell is survived by his children, Tommy Green and Melissa Hernandez; his sisters, Shirley Vetor of Mountain Home, AR and Sharon Johnson (Percy) Blountsville, AL; brothers, Carson William Webb of Union Point, GA and Clifford Webb of Maxeys, GA; his aunt, Leona Webb Morrow of Woodville, GA; friend, Shirley Balutista of Union Point, GA; other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Mitchell and a brother, Fred Webb, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Dennis Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Greensboro City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642. Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Herrington, Little Henry English, Stevie Griffin, Willie Gresham, Pete Lankford and Wade Webb. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday before the service. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
