Warren Gene Nation
Warren Gene Nation, age 65, of Union Point, GA, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his residence. He was born on May 30, 1951 in Young Harris, GA to Annie Bradshaw Nation and the late J. T. Nation. He attended school in Oglethorpe County. The family moved from Hiawassee, GA to Oglethorpe County where he worked for Cabaniss Dairy in Maxey’s, GA. He also worked for Greene County and Bryan Scott as a heavy equipment operator retiring in 1997. He has lived in Greene County since 1961. Warren was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed cutting grass, and gardening. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and loved ones.
In addition to his mother, Annie Bradshaw Nation of Hiawassee, GA, survivors include his sons, Lindsey Nation (Melody) of Union Point, GA, Jamie Nation (Renee) of Eatonton, GA and Derrick Nation (Candace) of White Plains, GA; five grandchildren, Cole Nation, Ashley Nation, Bryaton Nation, Makayla Nation and Lynn Nation; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister and brothers, Niota Nation, Roy G. Nation and Denver Nation.
Memorial Services will be held, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Callaway Chapel in Union Point, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until time for the service at Callaway Funeral Home. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
