Ruby Mae Jones Reese

Ruby Mae Jones Reese, age 85, of Crawfordville, Georgia died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Taliaferro County, she was born March 18, 1926, the daughter of the late Roger Marion Jones and Mary Lou Harper Jones. She graduated from Warrenton High School and then worked for Royal Manufacturing as a machine operator before she married Babe Brittian Reese on October 22, 1945. She was a longtime member of the Crawfordville Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and doing needle point.

In addition to her husband of sixty-six years, Babe B. Reese of Crawfordville, GA, she is survived by four sons, Charles David Reese of Crawfordville, GA, Richard Babe Reese and Barbara Cody of Cleveland, GA, Gerald Alan Reese and wife Loretta of Loganville, GA and Barry Wayne Reese and wife Cynthia of Clarkesville, GA; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Hobbs and Martha Virginia Cummins.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Crawfordville Baptist Church, 142 Memorial Drive, Crawfordville, GA 30631 with Rev. Dennis Garner and Rev. John Autry officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Billy Woodruff, Charles Greene, Robert H. Kendrick, John Wilhelm, Bobby Moore, Bobby Jones and Marc Richards. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Callaway Funeral Home in Union Point.
