Robbie Riley Dolvin

Robbie Riley Dolvin, age 62, of Union Point, Georgia, died Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Weakley County, TN on February 8, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Clovis Lewis Riley and Desdie Akers Riley. In 1961 she graduated from Palmersville High School and in 1964 she earned a BS degree in Elementary Education at the University of Tennessee in Martin and later received her Masters of Education at Piedmont College. Robbie taught in various schools for 34 years retiring in 2001 from Union Point Elementary School. She was a member and officer of the following organizations: Pilot Club of Greene County, the Union Point Garden Club, and Alpha Theta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society and she was a member of Campus View Church of Christ in Athens, GA.

She is survived by her husband, Neal Dolvin of Union Point, GA; a number of children that she helped raise and influenced in the community; two brothers, Ronnie Riley and wife Diana of Trenton, TN and Rudy Riley and wife Gail of Virginia Beach, VA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kay and Lee Lord of Siloam, GA; five nieces, Tracy Schultz and husband Robert of Trenton, TN, Kelly Rumble and husband Gary of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Colleen Riley of Clementon, NJ, Til Carson and husband Bryan of Union Point, GA and Paige Peugh of Blue Ridge, GA; a nephew, Jimmy Peugh and wife Denise of Siloam, GA; and a number of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Randall Riley.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Siloam Cemetery with Steve Watson and Barrett Coffman officiating. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at Campus View Church of Christ in Athens with Steve Watson and Vance Sims Officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Kay and Lee Lord, 3540 Hwy. 15 S.
