Richard Keith “Ricky” Greenway, 55, a native of Winder, Georgia and a resident of Buckhead died on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at his residence. Born on April 7, 1955, he was the son of the late William Crawford “Bo” Greenway and Shelby Jean Walker Greenway Christian. He attended school in Barnesville, GA and worked with his family in Greenway & Sons Logging as a young man. Later he worked as a foreman at Lafarge Rock Quarry for the past 8 years. He loved watching football, working in the yard and being with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Leesa Doolittle Greenway of Buckhead, GA; three daughters, April Michelle Greenway of Buckhead, GA, Ashley Greenway Holland and husband Jason of Buckhead, GA and Amanda Brooke Greenway and Chad Eaton of Buckhead, GA; a son, Richard Crawford Greenway of Eatonton, GA; four sisters, Linda Goddard and husband Jimmy of Milner, GA, Brenda Irene Jacobs of Greensboro, GA, Fran McClain and husband Ronnie of Watkinsville, GA and Debbie Vickery and husband Harvey of Madison, GA; a brother, Timothy Allen Greenway of Greensboro, GA; five grandchildren, Lucas Keith Greenway (17), Bo Malcom Carson (13), Bailey Steven Greenway (6), Madyson Shelby Eaton (2) and Hayden Ann Holland (2); eleven nieces and nephews and a number of great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Ann Greenway and his brother, William Donald Greenway.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 8, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Freedom Worship Center, 6041 Madison Highway, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Wayne Powers officiating. Interment will follow at the Buckhead City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Duane Walker, Eric Holland, Jason Holland, Jason Ashburn, Johnny Johnston and Chad Eaton.
