Ralph Hulon Windsor

Ralph Hulon Windsor, age 93, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Emory Dunwoody Medical Center in Atlanta. A lifelong resident of Greene County he was born January 12, 1912 to the late Jessie Windsor and Ettie Ruark Windsor. He attended school at Woodville High School and Union Point High School. During World War II he served in the United States Air Force. For forty three and one-half years he was a bookkeeper for Greene County Motor Company. Mr. Ralph was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro. He served in various ways on several committees, was a member of Hamp''s Sunday School Class and was the Sunday School secretary for fifty three and one-half years.

Mr. Windsor is survived by his wife, Reba Windsor, of Greensboro, GA; a son, Jerry Hatton and wife Robin of Greensboro, GA; a sister, Ruby Crabtree of Clermont, FL; three grandchildren; Chris Hatton Garcia and husband David of Athens, GA, Lisa Ziegenmeyer and husband Joe of Yuba City, CA and Tori Hatton of Yuba City, CA; four great grandchildren, Kayleigh Ziegenmeyer, Lindsey Ziegenmeyer, Makenna Ziegenmeyer and Daniel Garcia. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Crawford Windsor; a son, James Howard Hatton Jr.; and his siblings, Iris Windsor Hall, Everett Windsor, George Windsor, Jessie Windsor and Hinton Windsor. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Greensboro with Rev. Michael Hardy and Rev. Dr. Norman Waldrip officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Robert Simpson, Bobby Durham, Joe Durham, Charlton Veazey, Alvin Dowdy, Bobby Voyles, Jim Cox and Ray Marchman. Honorary pallbearers are Hamp''s Sunday School Class and Fain Eaton. Any memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 203 South Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642.
