Our precious sweetpea, Martha Thurmond, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 9, 2004. Her work on earth is done, but serving God in heaven has just begun.
Martha served him well here on earth: a gift to earth, born on January 15, 1920 in Bennettsville, South Carolina. This epitome of a gracious southern belle, joined hands in marriage with Claude Daniel Thurmond and God blessed their union with: Claudia, Dan and Fred, six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
As Martha passed from earth to heavenly life, she kissed the sweet cheek of a new life coming to take her place, new life born to Tommy and Michelle Allen on August 9, 2004. We love you sweetpea and you will be in our hearts forever.
