Larry Rushing Addison
Larry Rushing Addison, age 64, of Greensboro, GA passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his home in Reynolds Plantation. He was born December 13, 1951 in New Orleans, LA, the only son of the late Herman Addison and Carrie Rushing Addison. After graduating from Hattiesburg High School in Mississippi, he attended the University of Mississippi and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma. On October 22, 1978, he married Page Dixon. During his forty year working career, he worked for Hyatt Hotels and Cooper Lighting Company, before starting his own business. He was president and owner of Addison-Parrish Lighting Company before retiring in 2011. After his retirement, they moved to Lake Oconee where he spent many happy hours with family, friends and his favorite pastime, golfing. Larry was a member of Due West Methodist Church while living in Kennesaw and attended Greensboro First United Methodist Church after moving to Greensboro in 2015.
Larry is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Page Addison of Greensboro, GA; two sons, Nick Addison and wife Mallory of Austin, TX and Stephen Addison of Austin, TX; four grandchildren, Luke Addison, Sam Addison, Grace Addison and Will Addison; and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, South Campus, 4741 Carey Station Road, Greensboro, GA with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1306 Whitlock Avenue NW, Marietta, GA 30064. Serving as pallbearers are David Hatch, Roy Elliott, Fritz Zeck, Ryan Irvine, Jimmy Williams, Warren Ragsdale and Nelson Withers. The family will receive friends Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service.
