James Golden Obituary

James Bruce Golden, age 83, of Eatonton, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at his residence. He was born on January 27, 1935 in Gadsden, AL one of four children born to the late Horace Edward Golden and Thelma Bagley Golden. He graduated from Emma Sansom High School in Gadsden, AL. During his working career, he was a fabricator for Adco Badcock. In his forties he enjoyed fishing in tournaments winning numerous awards. Later on in 1981 he purchased a home on Lake Oconee in Putnam County where he continued to enjoy his family, fishing and hunting. 
 
Bruce is survived by two daughters, Sharon Dye (Danny) of Loganville, GA and Susan Walker (Jackie) of Monroe, GA; a son Jimmy Golden (Beverly) of Covington, GA; brother, Roy Golden of Gadsden, AL; four grandchildren, Jason,  Renee, Kyle, and Daniel; four great grandchildren, Ivey, Lawson, Caden, Dylan and one on the way (Charlie Rae); and many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by two siblings, Joyce Phillips and Gary Golden.   
 
A Visitation in Celebration of his Life will be held Friday, April 13, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642.
