James Branch Obituary

James Willie Branch, age 70, of the Greshamville Community, died Sunday, October 14, 2012. A native of Greene County, James Willie was born on August 2, 1942, the son of the late Isaac Webster Branch and Ruby Mae Meeks Branch. He grew up in Greshamville where he attended school and later went to Greensboro High Schools. He married the former Peggy Almand on November 20, 1969. James Willie worked for the Enterprise Aluminum Company in Eatonton, GA as a machinist, retiring in 2000. He was also worked at Madison Health and Rehab in maintenance. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Greshamville. He enjoyed watching TV, riding in his little red truck and drinking coffee with his friends at the Greshamville Mall and the Appalachee Bait Shop. James Willie was a jack of all trades and was good at fixing anything.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Almand Branch of the Greshamville Community; grandson, Jesse Bryant of Eatonton, GA; special nieces, Gail Eaton and husband Verner of Madison, GA and Lisa Milton of Greshamville, GA; cousin, Lou Durden and husband Elbert of Gainesville, GA; brothers-in-law, Sam Almand of Monroe GA and Billy Garrison of Greshamville; sisters-in-law, Linda Almand of Buckhead, GA and Betty Gatlin of Oklahoma; and a lot of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Lynn Bryant.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Hayes officiating. A reception will follow immediately after the service at New Hope Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 1400 Farmington Road, Madison, GA 30650. The family requests any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 1684 Barnett Shoals Road, Athens, GA 30605-3007. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
