Hugh Patrick Doran, most recently of Greensboro, Georgia passed away peacefully on July 31, 2013. Hugh was born October 23, 1928 in Mt. Vernon, NY. He was the son of Irish immigrants Rose and Michael Doran. He was incredibly proud of his heritage and if Irish wit and charm were currency the man would have amassed a fortune.
As an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force he served his country while stationed in the Pacific. Once back in the states he found his way to Tupper Lake, NY and met and married the true love of his life, Jenevieve Felio. Together they raised their family of five children in Houston, TX.
Hugh enjoyed a long and prosperous career in the apparel industry representing the manufacturers of designer clothing lines and establishing long lasting relationships with the most exclusive retailers throughout the country. Hugh had a passion for family, entertaining, travel and golf. Those were the things he cherished most during his retirement. Above all he was a tremendous husband, father and family man that will be missed.
Hugh is survived by his children Jeff Doran, Princeville, HI; Jim Doran, Dallas, TX; Judy Bouillion and husband Elliott, Houston, TX; Joan Weghorst and husband Bill, Eatonton, GA; Jackie Harrison and husband Dave, Houston, TX; grandchildren Farron Carmichael, Houston, TX; Kelsey Weghorst, Kansas City, MO; Trey Weghorst, Eatonton, GA; Ian, Andre and Elliott Bouillion, Houston, TX; Genna, David and Catherine Harrison, Houston, TX, sister in law Jean Felio, Tupper Lake, NY; Niece Janet Mauron, Tupper Lake, NY and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass celebrating Hugh''s life will be held at 10:00 am on Monday August 12, 2013 at St. Alphonse Catholic Church in Tupper Lake, NY.
