Gwendolyn Elleen Griffin

Gwendolyn Elleen Griffin, age 68, of Greensboro, GA, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at her residence. She was born in New London, CT on December 22, 1944 to Lillian Bryant Griffin of Greensboro, GA and the late James Harley Griffin. She received her education at Fort Pierce High School in Florida. She worked for The Big Paper Company as a computer operator while living in High Springs, FL. Last year she moved back to Greene County to live with her mother. She was a Member of the Episcopal Church in St. Lucie, Florida.

In addition to her mother, Lillian Bryant Griffin of Greensboro, GA, she is survived by her sister-in-law Brenda Griffin, her nephews Neil Griffin, Jamie Griffin & Jonah Griffin, her nieces Deanna Holcomb, Lynn Brown & Kristy Cullars; a number of great nieces and nephews and her dog, Boo Boo. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Neilson Griffin, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Union Point Worship Center, 208 Lamb Avenue, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Dennis Mitchell and Rev. Candy Arwood officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669. A reception will follow at the church. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
