Glenis Harker Hansen

Norma Glenis Ellen Harker Hansen of Eatonton, GA, died at Greene Point Health and Rehabilitation in Union Point on Friday, March 8, 2013. She was 74. A native of Burnley Lancatershire England, she was born on April 21, 1938 the oldest child of the late Marmaduke A. Harker and Ellen Jones Harker. She was educated in many schools in Gloucestershire. She married David Allen Hansen on April 15, 1985 in Ft. Myers, FL. Glenis was a florist at Greensboro Florist and also owned her own shop. In addition to floral arranging, Glenis enjoyed gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Allen Hansen in September of 2006. Glenis is survived by a brother, Robert Harker; a sister, Gail Purdy and husband David; a niece Claire Billson, nephew, Marc Purdy; great nephew,Joshua Purdy; and three great nieces, Isabel Billson, Hannah Billson and Olivia Purdy. Glenis also leaves many caring friends.

A Memorial Service will be held, Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel. A reception will follow the service at Lake Oconee Elks Lodge #2849, 1116 Lake Oconee Parkway, Suite 2070, Eatonton, GA 31024. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Glenis H.
