Doris Leonard Obituary

Doris Cooper Leonard died August 12, 2013, after her two year battle with cancer. She was born on July 14, 1918 in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of Mayme McClead Cooper and Harry Cooper of East Liverpool.

She spent most of her adult life in the Steubenville/Wintersville, Ohio area and the majority of her working career as an accountant with the Biggio Ford Motor Company in Steubenville. Doris was still working at age eighty-five (in the office of Dr. "Sonny" Sunseri) until a stroke brought her to the Lake Oconee area to be close to family.

She joined All Angels Episcopal Church in Eatonton, enjoyed attending her Bible study classes, reading, working crossword puzzles, and until later years, loved traveling in the U.S.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene (Gene) in 1985. She is survived by her son, Noel J (Bud) Stultz and wife, Judy, her grandsons, Brian, Kevin (Joan), Patrick (Sarah) and great-grandchildren, Kristen, Kara, Kate, Alex and Nate.

A Memorial Service will be held, Friday, August 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Anne Meroney officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, Ohio.
