Barbara Moon Callaway

Barbara Moon Callaway of Greensboro, GA, died on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice in Athens, GA surrounded by her family. She was 82. Barbara was born in Lexington, GA on October 18, 1933, one of seven children of the late Virgil Monroe Moon and Louise Hubbard Moon.  She married William Reid Callaway, Sr. and has lived in Greensboro for the last twenty-seven years.  In addition to being a homemaker, Barbara was the bookkeeper for Callaway Sales retiring after thirty years.  Barbara was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and enjoyed being with her family.

Her husband, William Reid Callaway, Sr.; daughter, Donna Reid; and great grandchildren, Christopher and Jeremy Rosecrans preceded her in death.  She is survived by three daughters, Anne Martin, Lynn Callaway and Susan Shelnutt all of Greensboro, GA; brother, James P. Moon of Panama City FL; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
