Addie Mae Kemp Jackson
Addie Mae Kemp Jackson of Greensboro, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Piedmont Athens Regional. Addie was born in Miami, FL on July 4, 1925 to the late William Theodore Kemp, Sr. and Betty Lucille Rimes Kemp. She attended Ft. Pierce Beauty Academy in Florida. In 1981 they moved from Vero Beach, FL to Greene County. She was a hairdresser along with her daughter, Jean Adriance at Jean’s Hair Fashions in Union Point, GA. She love to fish, dance, cook, garden and do hair. Addie was a member of the Union Point Worship Center where she enjoyed playing the piano. Her family was most important and she enjoyed being with her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her daughter, Jean Adriance of Greensboro, GA, and her brother’s children, Janie Meeks, Harold Kemp and Sheila Kemp, she is survived by her grandchildren, Burrell Adriance, Jr. and his wife Donna, Cheryl Swilley and her husband Richard and Michael Adriance and his wife Jessie; sixteen great grandchildren; six great, great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Jackson; her siblings, Fannie Shearer, Melvina Hinton, Lois Woods, Myrtle Rogers and William Kemp, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Union Point Worship Center, 208 Lamb Avenue, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Dennis Mitchell, Rev. Candy Arwood, Rev. Phillip Hubbard and Rev. Johnny Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669. Serving as pallbearers are grandson: Michael Adriance and great grandsons: Austin Adriance, Dylan Adriance, David Adriance, Ryan Swilley and Kyle Adriance. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Union Point Worship Center. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
