Callaway Funeral Home & Georgia's Lake Country Crematory now has an onsite crematory that can handle oversize and obese or overweight cremations up to 1000 pounds and are Lake Oconee's and Georgia's Lake Country Crematory. Located in the heart of Georgia's Lake Country at 208 N. Rhodes Street in Union Point, Georgia we are this areas only family owned and operated funeral home and crematory and have been serving the surrounding areas in Georgia (including Greensboro, Union Point, Penfield, Greshamville, Woodville, Siloam, White Plains, Liberty, Veazey, Macedonia, Maxeys, Crawfordville, Centennial, Robinson, Sparta, Eatonton, Madison, Lake Oconee, Greene County, Putnam County, Morgan County, Taliaferro County, Hancock County) for over 100 years and 5 generations, and now we add this website to our list of family-centered services. The maintenance of this service, equipment and facilities is never ending; because it must be available 24 hours a day every day of the year including holidays. Thus, ours is a 168-hour week as opposed to the accepted standard 40-hour week. Many phases of our work are apparent, others are not. No two services are exactly alike. Traditions, customs, social standing, personal wishes, financial ability and numerous other factors have an influence on each service.
